uganda institute of ideas

Uganda has for long largely depended for the identification of her problems, together with any potential solutions to these, on research conducted by non-Ugandans, who have, unfortunately, all too often lacked the nuanced, instinctive understanding of the milieu, not to mention the profound care and concern for the country, that, more often than not, only someone with a long residency, if not born and bred, in Uganda, can possibly have. The Uganda Institute of Ideas shall, therefore, endeavour to be in the vanguard of recent, welcome essays by Uganda-based, research organisations, or ‘think-tanks’, to find Ugandan solutions to Ugandan problems.
