We are proud to announce that Mr. Dickson Mushabe, the CEO of Hostalite, has been elected as the Chairperson of the Technology and Digitization Working Group under the Uganda Microfinance Forum for a two-year term.
This appointment is not only a personal honour for Mr. Mushabe but also a significant opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of Uganda’s microfinance ecosystem fostering innovation, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.
Collaborating for Impact
In this role, Mr. Mushabe will work closely with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the Association of Microfinance Institutions of Uganda (AMFIU), and a broad range of stakeholders across the public, private, and civil society sectors.
The Working Group will focus on:
- Promoting inclusive and secure digital financial services
- Supporting scalable tools for savings, lending, and payments
- Advancing capacity building through knowledge-sharing and mentorship
- Strengthening linkages among MFIs, fintechs, regulators, and development partners
Leading Digital Transformation
With a deep commitment to Uganda’s financial inclusion agenda, Mr. Mushabe and the Working Group will provide strategic guidance on digitization within the microfinance sector. Their efforts will aim to enhance the adoption of technology in delivering secure, efficient, and inclusive financial services to underserved communities across the country.
