We received great news that the Hostalite C.E.O Mr. Dickson Mushabe is among the three Ugandans who have been selected by the World Economic Forum to join the Northern Corridor Internet for All Project working group.
“Internet for All” is a project of the World Economic Forum and its partner organizations to develop new scalable and replicable on-the-ground models of public private collaboration to accelerate internet access and adoption globally, and to provide a platform to socialize these models.
Currently, 4 billion people or over 55% of the world’s population still do not access the Internet.
The Northern Corridor Internet for All (NC-IfA) project’s goal is to connect 25 million new users in the four Northern Corridor countries by 2019, and to establish an enduring physical and digital platform that can continue to bring the internet to new users well into the future.
Speaking that the function, Badru Ntege C.E.O NFT Consult informed the representatives that Dickson Mushabe was selected because he runs the biggest web hosting company in Uganda with domain name registration services and supports Local content initiatives in Uganda among other factors.
Present at the meeting were Colleagues from Uganda, Patricia Russ and Dieynaba Tandian of world Economic forum.
